Xmen has become the F&F of the comic book movie world. They aren't good, entertaining enough, down right ridiculous even using the movies own logic, and they keep coming out with more.
you're insulting FF (or giving xmen wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much credit)..

FF at least knows what it is (and what it aint) and succeeds at giving its audience what it wants

you cant say either (any) of those things about singer's xmen movies

I'm a huge xmen fan and so is anyone in their late 20's now due to the cartoon and such. Why they continue to take a dump on the source material is beyond me. In some cases they actually make things more complicated changing things.

Why is Hollywood so obsessed with men who grew up in the '80s?
The current explosion of '80s franchise reboots is bad for everyone who loves film.

I'd could argue that the movies do know what they are. They continue to make different versions of horrible xmen movies that are consistently KFC summer dumpster garbage fests. I could also argue at this point comic book fans aren't their core audience. I don't know who is but they've been making enough money so I can only conclude that they have been giving them what they want.

I'm just pissed after 15+ years they STILL haven't made a good xmen movie

Interesting. I think it's more so the medium in which they're made. Pg 13 movies using a set of directors who's been doing them for years over and over again. They've essentially cornered themselves. In all these years the BEST thing produced, IMO of course, is the daredevil series. That includes ALL marvel movies made. They need to branch out and explore instead of the cookie cutter movies

I think we're all forgetting that there's has NEVER been a good xmen movie. They've just been some so bad other look good in comparison. Go down the list looking at the movies from a comic book fan and just a movie;

Xmen 1: CB movie, horrible. Movie, laughably bad
Xmen 2: CB movie, serviceable at best. Movie, meh
Xmen 3: CB movie, horrible. Movie, porn parody status

Wolverine origins: CB movie, horrible. Movie, wtf were they thinking?
Wolverine: CB movie, horrible. Movie, LOL

1st class: CB movie, serviceable at best. Movie, meh
Dofp: CB movie, hit and miss (mostly miss). Movie, meh

Apocalypse: CB movie, horrible. Movie, meh - LOL.

I agree with every statement made . Take this rep

So it was "the mind" that was able to destroy the personfication of a alchemical, material godhead? Is that about right?

Um if you're referring to the end, it was a cosmic force of death and rebirth that destroyed him via her "mind" and no it really wasn't hinted to so if you didn't read the comics or watched the cartoon the casual fan wouldn't have much of a clue.

"All is revealed"

The cosmic force required the mind to defeat him in the end is more accurate i suppose. Always with the alegory.

saw apocalypse was trash all that build up to end up so anticlimatic
alien.gif
this dude angel got swords on his back and he gets trapped in a cage by nightcrawler

cyclops got lazer eyes and cant even blast a few military goons

Was expecting to see so much more from Jubilee.
She was literally just chillin. I really do enjoy the way they made quick silver. All his scenes are funny

You should know if someone has swag or not just from 5 seconds of seeing how he carries himself on screen

That Gambit had no swag at all. None.

That's not Gambit to me.

I want Gambit to have so much swag that I feel that I have swag just from watching him have swag.

Evem X-Men evolution had a dope young apocalypse flashback sequence.

latest

The Apocalypse Rising miniseries was fantastic.

The movie really failed to adapt Apocalypse to the big screen. :smh:

Apocalypse was just loud and preachy while saying nothing, doing nothing. He was just comical actually, not menacing at all. I'm still not sure what he wanted to do.

Why would you be scared of a dude who is 5'8 at the most and moves like 80s Robocop

:smh:

Also it been 10 years since DOFP in the movie timeline, these dudes couldn't get upgraded sentinels for the danger room
