How fun is Mardi Gras?

going there next year for a bachelor party any tips, tricks and knowledge?

Can't think of anything I didn't cover in the post. I went another time after that and really just stayed in the French Quarter/Bourbon Street.

For the most part that's the only area I've been around and usually for very busy weekends, so if you go in the summer you could probably see other parts. My girl knows people from there and they never partied on Bourbon, too touristy I guess. There's a famous bar called The Boot by Tulane, I've heard it's great. The French Quarter and really around Bourbon St. are the places where I'm familiar with, if you guys are going hard for the bachelor party then that's probably where you'll want to be the whole time and I'd suggest staying in that area too, it's very convenient. There's a huge Harrah's casino close by too.
