Most likely teh scammer told him that for a certain price he'd sell the shoes on paypal via gift to avoid the fees. If he didn't want to gift, the price might have been higher. I would never gift though....even though you can still file  a claim andn probably win

After any type of transaction you're unable to shut down the account for a certain amount of time

If someone doesn't care about the scammer knowing their paypal address, they can send the scammer an invoice. Should out his name in the invoice email. Hope it's not "Mes Cammer"

call your bank and tell them the transaction was unauthorized
