January '15 No-Fap Challenge vol: the entire year is too much

I've got a question.

Why?

Do you feel ashamed and want to stop completely? So a no-fap January (or any month) will be another step towards stopping?

Or something else?

Just curious.

I agree with fontaine on this one.  It's also just a challenge for myself, see if I can overcome the daily habit.  I like to set little goals such as this which motivates me to do even more in life.  I also quit cigarettes recently too, so it's just building that mind over matter thing.

What I'm about to say is going to SOUND like I disagree with what you just said, so let me preface with this: I don't disagree. If someone needs porn to get going, there's a problem.

HOWEVER... there are women out there that understand the excitement for porn, and don't want their man to put it away/give it up; they just want him to include her, let her in on the habit.

Obviously, there are some women like "Nope. You look at me, and me only."

But it's a grip of girls that will buy it for their man, women that will add vids to a guy's secret stash and then help him enjoy them. :wink:

Like I said, was just curious. Hate to think some of y'all are ashamed of something that is nothing to be ashamed of.
 
darthska darthska I don't really think it's that its embarrassing to watch. Probably socially accepted and would be embarrassing if you don't watch in this day and age.

I think the issue is being under control/being addicted to a point where it limits your own quality of life. The physical problems like having ED or the mental problems it causes like perversing your mind, that porn wrongly portrays what is ideal sex. Also problems in relationships. I've definitely experienced all this being addicted for 10+ years.

For myself, I know I become an insecure person and I wouldn't be able to love my girl purely. She is definitely fine and understands it's a "guy thing" but she would much rather know that she is my full desire and that she completely satisfies me. Plus I can't imagine if I were to start going to that instead of her.

But well, this just applies to me. :lol:

It aint embarrasing to watch if you dont watch too much. It is the effects of overexposure to porn that's embarrasing. Like porn induced ED and Death Grip Syndrome. I feel like if you dont have the same problems that some of us had you will not understand. I wouldnt be quitting if I didnt have a problem with those things not to mention the other benefits I have encountered

i been fap free since DEC272014. got lucky with aforementioned latina chick.

but back in my heyday i would fab before during after work. once was even late to work (interwebz was slow) smh x 1000
