Im trying to get into a graduate program. Got rejected this year so... I definitely need a job. This sneaker hobby ain't helping either.

Well after a couple months of searching for any kind of job I finally got a call back from a call center(ya I know), I mean its better than nothing for now. Im happy.

Hey, as long as you are happy and you have an income. You'll get something you truly will have fun and enjoy working in. Just continue to keep your eye out.

Got word from my sister that a local oil field comp was hiring on spot about a week ago, the entry level job is 1,000-1,500 a week. I went up there bright and early ready just to walk into the door and have the guy behind the glass tell me they just finished hiring 10 mins before i walked in. gave him the ultimate stone face and exited. been out of work for 3 weeks come tue and my rent will be due july 1st. im WORRIED.

They run background checks on you, your wife if you have one, your kids if they are old enough and your parents to make sure you are not linked to any terrorist cell in ANY way. They also make sure you didnt have anything in your juvenile record. (regular companies cant do this, but the government does EVERYTHING
They also make sure you dont have any marks with previous employers..........
They run your credit and also check your bank accounts to make sure you dont have any undocumented money coming in. If you dont have a papertrail, flags will be raised.
Of couse they check any arrest or ticket down to an illegal right turn on red

I worked for an engineering firm that did government contracting. They ran a background check on me but not on my family. If you are going to real national security sensitive +#!! though, your background check will be more intense. There are different levels of clearance. My +#!! was the lowest level.
If you stuck to the script in life and have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about.

Times is tough right now but keep your head up. Been to a bunch of interviews for the last 2 months and only received offers for 2 jobs but they are lowing me. SMH.

Im still jobless as well. I'm also a victim of that AT&T leadership program interview. Funny this is, I stay in atlanta and they wanted me to go to miami. Basically got the run around and then rejected.

my old job FreshDirect is always hiring drivers.. GREAT place to work, aside from the constant walkups in BK and QNS it's an easy job and there's always mad hours, and u have the option of takin' the summer off.. u dont get paid for it but yeah..
