It works, I used to do this with my grandmothers address. Then when I got calls I would try and explain the situation to the caller and sometimes they were understanding sometimes there would be no follow up whatsoever.What's your guys take on using someone else's address on applications and/or your resume? I'm from Florida but I'm in the process of trying to relocate to the DC Metro Area. Been applying since January but haven't had any luck so far so I'm thinking about using a family friend's Maryland address.
The worst is when you get the "Can you come interview in two days" phone call, because they think you live there. Twice I have just taken that leap and paid for the plane ticket for that quick trip.
Something that I was told by someone who contacted me after I gave up on that plan but was still applying out of state was to put "Willing to relocate" next to your address on your resume. made sense to me and I started doing that with good results as well.
