Jordan Brand refuses to retro shoes with Nike Air because they want original collectors to not have to worry about other people having their gems... That is aload of crap. What I've come to realize is that they simply just don't want to put Nike Air on their shoes. What about collectors that own shoes thatnever had Nike Air on the back? What about people who stock piled on certain retros only to have them come out again?
- If they really cared about the original or true collectors, would the Air Jordan VIII white/red be retroed twice in a span of a couple of years (exactly likethe original)?
- If they care about collectors would they retro the black/red XI's twice since the original release? (and don't tell me that the patent is different, big deal!)
- The black/red XV's were almost exact replicas of the originals.
- The XVI's look exact to the originals.
- The white/black air jordan IX has now been retroed twice.
I'm sure we could make this list go on and on, but my point is that Jordan Brand does not care about collectors. If they did, they'd alter all retros a little bit. They are saving Nike Air for something special. My theory is that they'll wait until they can do "RetroOGs" Give us White/cement IV's with Nike Air on the back and charge $340. They'll give us Black/Infrared VI's with Nike Air and charge $300. They'll do it and they'll give em the vintage look too.
Does anyone else think that JB could care less about collectors and just have something up their sleeve?
