got a Trek 4300 which retails for about 600+ for a very good price, I'll post pics a little later but it's pretty much exactly this:
I'm hyped
Lakers gold too
Post your bikes!
does dude really need a front suspension if he's never going to take it on the trails?Originally Posted by BG BabyGlock26

That Trek for sale is a great price though it's not really a mtn. bike. More of a road/street bike that can be used on flatland dirt from time to time. The frame & fork isn't built for the kind bruises usually associated with extended off road use. If you're gonna be on trails more often than not, definitely get something with a proper fork and fatter tubing on the frame. The price for that Trek is right though
how's this Trek?

trek 3900, I don't know what size it is though I'm looking for something with a 18" frame I guess
I'm don't know how tall you are...but that Trek is uber small maybe like a 15" don't buy it unless your really small.....
Look for something like this.....
Hardtail, Front suspension, Disc brakes..
As for brand i would go for a Kona , they have a nice line up of entry level machines
If you can try and find a 29'er....

I would answer yes and no, some surfaces may be flat but some roads have cracks that cause the ride to be a bit uncomfortable for some people sohaving it is a personal preference. And some people buy bikes that already have it so why take it out if it's already there.Originally Posted by Dirtylicious

I wouldn't say never, I think I'm gonna try a few runs with my cousins/friends & what not and see how I fare. I know I won't hang though
luckily the bike I ended up getting has front suspension/hard tail just in case, no disc brakes though but I think I can manage
what bike are you using dirty?
Nah not really, but when someone mentions mountain bikes front suspension is one of the first this thing to pop in my mind and i didn't wantto recommend a rigid fork mountain bike to a beginner. Most recent suspension forks have a lock out so you can go rigid when ever you want.....Originally Posted by Dirtylicious
