I said it could be blocked by other tall buildings. That was a slight jab at NY for having small apartments packed together, not really meant to be taken serious.

But going off of the theory that she turned around so she couldn't see her reflection in the window, it's not very plausible because you can't see the reflection of the lamp in the window. Doesn't matter if the light is turned on or not.
