He probably did rape some of those women.
He probably did rape some of those women.
How do you know? Because he's rich, cant get ******** anytime and likes jell-o?
very true.... but if you recall remember when tony draper, j prince, dame dash and i forget the other dude tried to go after universal music and tried to cut out the music biz and make it 100% black.....What makes a network black?
Do you really believe what you just said?
Did you do any research to find out who spearheaded NBCBLK? The ppl coming up with the ideas for the segment and making decisions? Anything at all other than this knee jerk reaction of just bloated offense
I don't think you know how repulsive it is to the put forth the idea that the entire network has to be black for there to be anything for black ppl to watch on NBC.
Would you prefer BET do this instead?
No it is a sell out network that glorifies and exploits black ppl.
If you expect that "black network" to produce all the programming for black ppl you'll be left wanting a great deal.
The whole point of NBC even doing this segment is attract a certain viewer for ratings but to also add to the discussion since news media has become so viewer interactive via social media.
I also suggest you do some research for the average viewer of BET given the programs they make.
Yall crazy if you think this is trueor think he had a legit shot. Look up Bill's networth and then look at the estimated value of CBS at the time they broke off from their media conglomerate.
The math still doesn't add up.
You take it back to the mid early 90s and both Magic's and Oprah's networth along with Bill isn't as much as it is now. So they still wouldn't have owned a majority of the network.
At the time, McCartney was one of the richest entertainers in the world, with a net worth of $560 million and a royalty income of $41 million.[2] Jackson stated, "If he didn't want to invest $47.5 million in his own songs, then he shouldn't come crying to me now".[2]

Never pictured Michael on some G **** like that.
I'm black.^^ What race do you identify as?
The problem here just seems that the wrong dudes tried teaming up to do this. I think if you want to know you should ask those dudes how close they actually were instead of jumping to their arrests and charges were orchestrated to keep them from making a business move. With that said universal music was again another company apart of a larger conglomerate. Those dudes wouldn't have been buying them they would've been buying in to the larger entity.very true.... but if you recall remember when tony draper, j prince, dame dash and i forget the other dude tried to go after universal music and tried to cut out the music biz and make it 100% black.....What makes a network black?

i dont think they had enough bread, but they did have the ball rolling with a huge head of steam and was gaining traction.... and you saw what happened.... j prince got hemmed up on some charges about things he did like a decade earlier, tony draper and that other cat out the blue got raided by the feds and riaa... and we all know what happen with dame dash.
I never said i thought they were in the works of signing a deal, what i was saying is they were seriously trying to do it and had the ball moving and was gaining serious tread. Alot could happen in the course of a few yrs.... aint no telling how many investors etc... they got or ppl they got to help the movement throughout the early 90's till the mid 90's...
It wouldnt be out the realm of possibility to nix cosby aka nip things in the bud before it presents a problem...
Think like mlk, he was a movement but in the grand scheme of things dude was lightyears away from his goal of world peace, and he pretty much we all can agree was offed by the powers that be, ala end it, end a issue before it becomes and issue.

I wouldn't in any way compare this to MLK for several reasons. One being his goal simply wasn't feasible. Yes he was killed by those in power but for more immediate reasons than his goal.
Just to be clear, they weren't trying to buy universal, they were trying to start their own distribution company. Every label, even independents need distribution deals at the very least and the top record companies have a monopoly on distribution. It basically could have taken all the income whites make off black music at the top levels and diverted back in to the hands of blacks. And that's not even including the white business such a large endeavor could attract. And irv gotti was the other figure in all this. Murder inc. was also raided during this time.
People talk about blacks helping blacks, group economics and other ethnicities that band together to establish wealth and influence. Well this is the type of stuff that happens when we do. Sad.
true but we dont know what all was said etc.... as far as going at universal... I mean i doubt they went in the offices and went to a ceo/top dog and said f yall we bout this independent life.Just to be clear, they weren't trying to buy universal, they were trying to start their own distribution company. why paul mccartney doin all these collabs w black artists now that michael jackson's dead?
I think this NBCBLK does what it says:
" Elevating America's conversation about black identity, politics & culture today."
News about, and involving black people. Thats it.
If true, what Cosby wanted to do would have been something different:
Create employment opportunities for blacks
Create an outlet for back culture's expression
Provide programming that more accurately reflects black lifestyle
Don't ignore the conspiracy.
Don't ignore his child being murdered.
Don't ignore these allegations and their purpose.
If you choose to, you're part of the problem.
why paul mccartney doin all these collabs w black artists now that michael jackson's dead?
im talkin about like w the kanyes, rihannas and jay-z's?McCartney has collaborated with black artists almost since the beginning of his career.
They even call Billy Preston "the fifth Beatle".
