Really? Luck was a bad pick than?
luck and the colts might be the exception, rather than the rule.

parktheCarr
He threw Moore under the bus vs New England.
Threw Homes under the bus vs San Diego.
Now our "classy" QB is throwing DMac under the bus for another of his bone headed plays.
----
Q: What happened on the pass to Khalif Barnes (left tackle)?
Carr:“On that play, that’s right where ‘D-Mac’ [Darren McFadden]’s check-down should be, so if you see my eyes are looking to the left and obviously I’m not looking at the rush, so I go to throw it, it wasn’t there. So, I felt obviously the pressure coming, tucked the ball to protect it and then all of a sudden I just saw out of the corner of my eye, this guy standing by himself, facing me, and so I obviously assumed in my head that it was ‘D-Mac’, so I turned to go throw it and in my head as soon as I threw it, I was like, ‘Please knock it down.’ That’s just one of those things. It’s happened to me in high school, it’s happened in college. It’s just one of those thing, you know where your guy’s at, you react. Everything is happening so fast. It’s just one of those things. Obviously, where we’re at right now, it just looks ugly, but it’s just one of those things that happens.”

The game is too fast for this kid.
He cant throw more than 5yds per play and panics when he feels the rush.
He reminds me of Matt Leinart
IAaron Rodgers would probably still be aaron rodgers, but imagine him thrown into the fire on say, a team that sucked on both sides of the ball like the 05 49ers, you could see how situation could potentially stunt a young qb's growth.

People still fallin for that Saturday hype.Dudes always fall in love with these hyped prospects, can't say anyone is better than another when they are playing on Saturday. Can't root for my team to lose either.
Taking a QB early is a no no.
I remember the "clown texans fan" begging for teddy to be their #1 last year.
Better off building up other positions.
peyton went no. 1 overall in '98Taking a QB early is a no no.
I agree that Derek Carr has struggled majorly in his past 2 weeks.
On the other hand, Greg Olson has to be the worst offensive coordinator in the league. Plus our wr core is bottom 5 at best.
& We're one of the worst running teams in history. The blame should go everywhere but you can't really judge the guy until you give him a competent OC, receivers and an actual NFL running game.

Andrew luck went no.1 overall
big ben went 11th overall.. ditto cutler
Rodgers went in the 1st
joe flacco went 18th
eli (two time champion) went 1st overall
Philip rivers went 4th
matt ryan went 3rd
cam went no.1
matt Stafford went no.1
drew brees went in the 2nd round.. so did keep
not anymore.. under the old system, yes.. but with the new rookie pay scale, you are better off getting a young guy for relatively cheapAnd if they aren't great, they'll set your franchise back 5-10 years.

Huh? How many games every sunday are lost just at the QB position?Dudes always fall in love with these hyped prospects, can't say anyone is better than another when they are playing on Saturday. Can't root for my team to lose either.

says anyone who watches or participates in the draft..Says who?
Early round is top 10 imo.
I dont think anyone considers Dalton an early rounder nir Rodgers hints the chip on his shoulder.

At the end of the day the QB is the engine that makes the team go. An elite QB is infinitely more valuable than an elite player at any other position. If you have a chance to grab one you grab one.
Put a decent QB on the Buccaneers and they'd have 3-4 more wins at this point in the season.
yes, when you had to pay these guys jamarcus or Bradford money.. but that is no longer the caseYes, but a bust at the QB position will hurt far more then a bust at OL.
I see a few all pro caliber QB's in there McNabb, McNair, Rivers, Eli, Sanchez, Newtown, Luck, Peyton, Ben
