NFL Week in Review: Week 2

I cant tell who is more insecure in this situation, you or Rola having to come in and try double teaming me in this banter as if you cant handle defending your squad 1 on 1

 @ "can't handle defending your squad 1 on1"

you must be new here. Pats fans been handling this ENTIRE board jumping on us for the last 10 years. and you over here crying about having to respond to two people at once.

In what English class is it taught that welcoming something (example: "Come At Me Bro" AKA "Bring it on") is the same thing as crying about it?

There you go again deflecting from the main points made.
Sounds like you're the one upset about people jumping on you for the last 10 years...

and there must be good reason for a decade worth of shots :nerd:

Just seen that taunting penalty called on Pryor at the end of the game. Awful flag. Don't even think it was taunting but you can't call that at the end of the game.

Saw the call when it happened and thought it was pretty petty as well.

Can't even defend the Browns, though. Dudes scored 20 in the first and didn't score for the rest of the game, and only lost by 5? smh man their fans have it bad. Would have been a nice upset.

That last page was ugly.

...

Woodhead :frown: Injury bug needs to move the **** on already from that franchise.

Seattle fans...what's the word on my guy Tom Cable? He gets blame for the o-line issues or nah?

Josh McDaniels won't get his due while he's employed by New England (I'm shocked...), but dude has shown more than enough growth to warrant a 2nd chance as HC. I wouldn't hesitate to bring him in this time around. Hello, Tennessee.

I know Collinsworth says some wacky **** sometimes, but I really like the SNF tandem. At least he hits more often than not and on the right track a decent amount of the time. Lower bar for national broadcasts, obviously.

On the other hand, Phil Simms been stealing money for years. Arguably the worst color commentator in the business.

how do you think this plays out with MM8? i assume them bringing him on is tied to him sticking with MM8. or Josh could take Jimmy and go somewhere else. all this assumes Bill isn't already planning to replace TB12 with Jimmy. lot of moving parts. will be interesting to see how it all falls into place. Josh is definitely gone after this year though.

so does Washington give up the two 1sts for jimmy?

could get him now.. he learns the playbook and when he's healthy ta da, he's the starter

 No.

Scot M. values draft picks.

Probably gonna ride this one out w/ Kirk and then re-evaluate at the end of the year.

Anyways...

SUCH a winnable game for the Skins yesterday. Team easily left 14-20+ points on the field due to Kirk's inaccurate throws. He and Gruden did no one any favors. Too many playmakers to have sub-par QBing.

Cable certainly gets blame for the Oline, and his "status" of being a lineman whisperer is constantly criticized

Most hate regarding anything on offense still directs to Bevell first though

And the blame for the selection of talent (or lack thereof) he has to work with seems to get split between him, Pete and John

kevin harlan needs more big game calls. cant stand nantz or sims.

Ain't Tom Cables fault his oline is payed at like $4mil combined and the next closest is around 7mil.
You can only do so much with defensive tackles at guard and tight ends at tackle

Seattle's O-line is bad...Real bad. At least when Russell gets healthy they have a mobile quarterback.

Vikings are in the same boat -- though they have the names of guys that have all been good before -- and have another of the leagues O-line gurus in Sparano...They might get Bradford killed.

O-line play is pretty bad across the board in the NFL though. Worst it's ever been...Easily.

Edit: As Cutler gets blown up.

Yeah I always felt he got the short end of the stick with the players he had to deal with but I think Tom has a part in that too

Oh yeah no doubt. The sad part is yesterday is probably the best oline play i have seen vs. The rams since Fisher has been there

Which leads back the root problem in all of this, Bevell :smh:
