The best thing about surf fishing is being away from everything except nature. The best stress relief I know of is surf fishing in the Atlantic. It's just you and nature.

I have good luck, with stripers using calico crabs. If you ever cast your bunker/clam combo and feel a tug, only to see a crab on there. Hook him for bait, a lot of times when I cut open stripers, I find the calicos in their stomach. I fish, down by Island Beach St park, often.

Hi im new to the website Big fisherman and live on the coast right out in el granada across the street from pillar point harbor and the jetti i was out on the jetti on saturday and smacked a huge Brown rockcod weighed 2 pounds exact also got 4 smelt 2 gopher cod (both legal) and 3 rock crabs along with 5 (keeper) Dungeness crab love to see that their are other fisherman from my area posting to the website
