NYC - 34Th Footaction Will Officially Sell Jordan Brand Items Only.

You have to stand up for yourself. Don't be Johnathan Martin. However, It's security job to make sure nobody cuts the line. because if you say something to the cutters, they'll respond, a shoving match commences, and boom you have bedlam, and the guards now have to get in there to clean it up. it can all be avoided if the guards are proactive from the jump and not allow it to go down.

Not sure how it is in other cities, states etc, but a lot cats here in NYC are ruthless when it comes to sneakers or any material items. It's sad. But ask these same cats to do that for a job or something that will get them out out there parents house, they wouldn't go to those lengths.
That's just it. I'm a grown man with a family, not some kid in the street with nothing to lose.

I know myself, and the last thing I am going to do is be taken for a sucka. I also know that there are a few out there that will test you. It simply isn't worth the risk, not for some kicks.

Bottom line: The threat and reality of the lowlife losers cutting lines, coupled with  "security guards" doing nothing about it, basically means I will NEVER do a lineup.

At the end of the day, the sneaker store will lose money -not a good business model provided how popular and easy it is to get kicks off the webz. This aint the 80s and 90s.

These stores need to adapt.

Right, so security guards should tolerate people skipping the line.

Let's keep this all the way 100%: Thugs, and lowlives skip lines. They do so by intimidating others, usually by bringing their crew with them.

Do you honestly think that the line cutters say, "excuse me, it is rather cold outside right now, and I was curious to know if you'd be nice enough to allow me to move in front of you." It doesn't work like that. It usually works by way of force and/or intimidation.

So, while the security guards may not care who is first, 50th, or 100th, it is their JOB to regulate the lines, and ensure everyone is, and feels safe. They suck at it, and JB has and will continue to lose customers, especially customers with thing$ to lose like careers, families, etc. Can't say the same for the line cutters.

But none of this surprises me one bit: Most security guards are minimum wagers that lack degrees, and marketable skill sets, hence them being "line monitors."

NOT SURE WHAT SIDE OF THE BED YOU WOKE UP ON BUT MY POSITION IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT SECURITY SHOULD REGULATE THE LINE WHICH IS WHY WHEN alp SAID "SECURITY AINT THERE TO REGULATE THE LINE" I SAID… AND I QUOTE… " THEN THEY (SECURITY) SHOULD NOT BE THERE." WE'RE BOTH SAYING THE SAME THING. I'VE BEEN LINING UP SINCE 2001 AND I KNOW ALL ABOUT HOW IT WORKS AND HOW SECURITY SHOULD WORK. SO, HONESTLY, I THINK THE LINE CUTTERS *SHOW UP LAST MINUTE WITH GROUP OF OTHER FAKE THUGS, LOUD OBNOXIOUS JOKING, BANTER, POSSIBLE ALCOHOL AND WEED SMOKING HAPPENING, 10 MINUTES BEFORE RELEASE TRUCK PULLS UP WITH MORE SAID GOONS, AND BEGIN TO HOVER BY THE ENTRANCE AND SOON "INTIMIDATE" THEIR WAY INTO THE STORE*

I HAVE SEEN POOR SECURITY AND EMPLOYEES ATTEMPT TO DO A DECENT JOB… I NEVER UNDERSTOOD HOW YOU COULD BE FIRST IN LINE CAMPING FOR 4+ HOURS AND LET PPL INTIMIDATE YOU INTO A SKIP… I WAS THE FIRST PERSON ON LINE FOR THE DMP WAITED 17 HOURS…. WHEN THE DOORS OPENED I WAS THE FIRST ONE IN… IM NOT HAVIN' IT… BUT SUCH JUST ISNT THE CASE WITH MOST OF THESE SNEAKER HEADS…. SO AGAIN, AND I QUOTE MYSELF, "SO GLAD I DID NOT CHOOSE TO (1-LINE UP AND 2-) GO HERE." HOPE YOU GOT YOUR PAIR IF YOU WANTED THEM… I STOPPED LINING UP ABOUT A YEAR AND HALF AGO… DOESNT SEEM WORTH IT AND I DONT HAVE THE PATIENCE AND TIME ANYMORE.

I KNEW THIS STORE WAS GOING TO BE A JOKE… LOL.. IN FACT MOST OF US DID AS WE DISCUSSED EARLY ON IN THIS THREAD… ENJOY YOUR INFRAREDS PPL!

agreed... too proud to let someone walk in front of me but too many consequences if i act up.  The stores do need to adapt but they wont.  They get too much attention the way it is.

My post was actually in response to ALP. I clicked the multi-quote function, but no dice.

We 100% agree with one another on this.

Apologize for the confusions.

I got my pair and camped. Shoutout to @160jordansdeep. Ppl tried to punk me out my #1 spot, **** aint happen. I coulda hit up 34, but preferred to avoid that POS

yea but whats the point of having security there. thats there job not yours. if you say something they will proabaly wait to you get out and a mob of them may jump you. its not worth the risk.
 up until recently I went to every release alone the night before and I was always first and stayed first. You guys got to have some backbone, we don't need no Jonathan Martin's in here

The only time I've seen employees or security regulate a line is 2 times

South beach 8s at the old Footaction location on 34th and 7th. I lined up and they had a lot of pairs. This guy from Dipset (Tito green I believe) was trying to bribe his way to the front. They had the police escort him away

Modells downtown Brooklyn on Fulton st. They always had this big muscle guy with dreads always had cats in check.

people are reselling that?
I don't think so but if they are I see no room for any profit. Hoodie was like 220. Pants in the 200/300 range. Sleeveless hoodie was like 150. I stopped looking after that!

No lines for the reds. Lot of people there today but no lines at all. They also had Infared VI's and the Cool Grey X's.
