OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

Peep my squad. 12 team, standard scoring, non ppr:

QB - Luck

RB - TRich, Reggie Bush

RB Bench - Montee Ball, Daryl Richardson, Bryce Brown, Christine Michael

WR - Julio Jones, Amendola

WR Bench - Mike Williams, Emmanuel Sanders, Jacoby Jones

TE - Julius Thomas

D - A revolving door, Rams today.

K - Josh Brown until he misses the big one.

Advice welcome, thanks!

Scared of Doug Martin because I don't trust freeman in that offense.
Arian Foster has lingering injuries
Beastmode seems to have lil injuries here and there
Might just go with ray rice

Here's my team on NFL.com, 14 Team PPR League:

QB: Andrew Luck
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Marshawn Lynch
WR: DeSean Jackson
WR: Antonio Brown
TE: Fred Davis
W/R: Montee Ball
K: Kai Forbath
Def: New York Giants

Bench:
Eli Manning
Giovani Bernard
Brian Hartline
Zach Sudfeld
Adam Vinatieri
Altanta Falcons Defense

What do you guys think?

Any opinion on Sudfeld over Fred Davis?
Anybody I should replace as a starter this week?

Thanks!

But but but he has Bernard Pierce there to steal carries.

Ehh go with your gut.

Why are you worried about Freeman? His play has nothing to do with the fact that TBs scheme will feature Martin consistently. Freeman sucked last year too and DM went for like 1400+, trust me they will be able to get him the ball.

I'm a Ravens fan, and take it from me Bernard Pierce is poised to start taking carries from Rice. I love Ray but he was running soft and fumbling in some games last year. Pierce saved us in quite a few key games, he has a downhill running style and doesn't dance around.

Brandon Myers and Jordan Cameron have been my two TE sleepers since I started preparing for drafts in 2013.

Sudfeld to a lesser extent.

So Doug Martin value is way better than Lynch and Morris when they was top 5 back in the league last yr...yall buying into these experts way too much

They spend their lives studying this, you don't.

I could easily break down schemes etc etc but it would take too long

Wrong. You act like they always right predicting the future...Only one man can predict the Future and he aint living on this plane

I'll take the consensus of 97 experts say that he will finish outside top 10 in ppr and barely crack top 10 in standard.

There is no such thing as a fantasy expert.

its all speculation, AP could have an off year. whats that tell you? lol

Calvin could have an offer year, etc, etc

its all guessing from last season and what they THINK these players will do. Its not fact. go off last season and how they looked in preseason and make up your own decision if you dont like what the "experts" say.

its not hard but going with the experts is a good choice unless you take a bold move and it some how pays off. its all luck.

14 Team Standard scoring..how'd I do :nerd:

QB: Romo
RB: Doug Martin
RB: Eddy Lacy
WR: Victor Cruz
WR: Eric Decker
TE: Jermichael Finley
W/R: Greg Jennings
K: David Akers
Def: Ravens

Bench:
Andy Dalton
Mike Williams
Darrius Heyward-bay
Zach Miller
Michael Bush

Just finished my first auction draft. Ended up with this.. 8 team league. Any weakness? Suggestions to improve?

QB – Russell Wilson
RB – AP
RB – Lynch
RB/WR – Antonio Brown

Not a bad team
But for an 8 team league, I don't like that u got stuck with starting mike wallace and mendenhall.

I liked how CJ looked towards the end of last year but I totally forgot that they signed Greene. I was already leaning a little towards Wilson vs a bad Cowgirls D but this pretty much sealed it for me now. Thanks for the insight.

Posted this right after your post, feel like I'm just speaking to the wind 90% of the time, I'll stay away from offering advice going forward

I have Fred Davis as my back up TE.

I noticed Julius Thomas (DEN TE) sitting in the FA pool.

Witten is my starter.

Should I drop Davis for a low risk / high reward thing for Thomas?

Davis was the 12th ranked TE in 2011 before his injury riddled season in 2012

Davis has more upside. How many people are going to score and be consistent in Denver? The Tamme hype last year was not warranted either

Davis is on a contract year with something to prove and is twice the athlete

Should I start H.Nicks or B.Green-Ellis at Flex?

That's a toss up.

Who are your other starters?

To me, if you need the points and upside, play Nicks, but if you need a solid start, play law firm. Nicks could be 0-22 pts, law firm will be 5-7!, with upside of 12-14
