Stop it. Dwight has been the best player for the rockets in 2 of the 3 playoff series he's played in with us.
The clippers went up 3-1 because of their role players playing well. They lost 4-3 because their role players disappeared. Vegas only favored them because the role players played exceedingly well through the first 4 games.

They eviscerated the Rockets by 16 without Paul, 25 and 33 FREAKING POINTS over the course of 4 games. And were up by 19 man. Get all the way outta here with the excuses. They choked. Point blank. Period.

I'm not talking about performance wise, anyone would agree that he's been there. I took it as being the leader of the team from an emotional aspect.

Whatever I said, was dependent on JJ, Matt, Austin continuing to produce at a clip that warranted their praise.
Perhaps I was wrong in assuming that they could keep up that level of play.

even if they won they can't contend? they beat the spurs and were up 3 to 1 vs the rockets which means they clearly could contend

They beat the Spurs on a last second shot in 7 games, they didn't domimate them by any means and won strictly off the backs of 3 of their starters.
If they could contend, they wouldn't have lost 3 straight to a deeper team who's starting 5 isn't as good.

Also, JJ Redick and Matt Barnes essentially won game 7 for us.
Look at how they played in games 5-7. I don't know how if one is actually assessing the clips that you ignore this.
