Usually fogged bubbles on my shoes clear up with just a wet cloth wipe. But these and a few others literally looked like white goo was in the air chambers :x

blow drying is dangerous cuz it messes up the glue. i still suggest the wd40.

is it a permanent fix or will they become milky again in a few hours?

I did this on an OG pair of Air Force Max I had, and it worked perfectly. You need a good blow dryer that actually produces hot air, and then just be patient working the air bag. It does fog back up after a few months.
