I did get my four pairs. I'm trying to give them more business but I haven't heard anything back on that front.

Hahaa what gets me steamed is when that link gets posted and out goes 4 pairs to one person.

Mark081990 - they dont remove it. it just doesnt come with it. pairs allocated to certain regions are labeled differently. US pairs get labels printed with the price. Overseas dont.

It's true - they are most likely all sold out :frown: because when you twitter search "house of hoops line" you'll see a girl (who must work nearby) asks why there is a line there.... This was 4 hours ago! How do people know 4 hours in advance? How did the line get so huge already?? Damn.
 
Would you guys trade a pair of royals for a pair of cement 3s 88?

So you're telling me if you had the money and the chance to buy multiple pairs at just over retail when you know they sold out and are going for 300+ that you wouldn't buy 4 pairs? To use them as trade bait or for extra cash to stash for the next release, etc...?
 
HOH 34st had a little restock this morning, but already sold out. My boy was number 12 in line, but said they only had 7 pairs for today.

What kind of world are we living in when a pair of Black Royal one's are more valuable then Cement III's. In 2003 when they WC III"s released someone would laugh at you if you offered two pairs of the 01 Royals for a pair of III's.

Man times have changed.

Oh and the 03 WC were quickstrikes too. Limited numbers and 100 bucks.

Makes sense to me. You gotta consider supply and demand. The last time royals were released was over 10 years ago, back in 2001. Finally in 2013 they decide to release the shoe again in significantly limited amounts.

You look at the WC 3's, they have been retroed in mass amounts back in 2011. I know a bunch of people with 2 deadstock pairs of 2011's that were able to snag a couple of pairs of the 88' retros. 

Simply put, supply and demand puts the royal's > WC 3. 

Now objectively speaking, looking at the tangible shoe itself, the WC3 definitely is a more valuable, more iconic shoe, but in terms of these crazy Ebay prices, blame Nike for not meeting the demand that is out there for these shoes.

Still no shoes sent. The owner sent me a text message saying he will look at locating my shoes... :smh::smh::smh:

The WC '88 were not as limited as the black/royal. As time goes on it will be harder to pick up a black/royal than WC '88. Look at ebay and CL and you can find tons of WC '88 for sale, but fewer black/royals.

If they were a DS '03 pair or had the same quality then I would agree with you. I agree in 2003 it would be different story, but in '03 you could possibly still find 01 Royals for retail or close to retail.
 
anyone know if finishline restocked this morning? or received cancelled pairs? the royals are on the finishline website but no sizes are available

My bad, I read the post wrong. I think it did have the size sticker on the insole because I would have noticed otherwise (never purchased overseas). I don't have a photo of that, but will post one when I get home. While I'm at it I will also do a legit check. Thanks bigj505
