If it's set on one island, why's it being called Jurassic world?

I read on one of those movie sites saying that the name Jurassic World refers to the name of the theme park. Like Dr. Hammonds park actually came into fruition in the present day. But that hasn't been confirmed yet.

I like AEA18's insight though, the fact that there's so much more island ground to cover is dope.

I think that was an older script that leaked. Nobody knows what's going on with this yet. That being said, the idea of the theme park actually coming to fruition is something they could still run with, but nothing has been confirmed.

Unlike The Lost World and JP3, Jurassic World will reportedly include Isla Nublar, the site of the original film. According to director Colin Trevorrow, the new story is "set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park." Although plot details are just rumors at the moment -- it could follow everything from a cleanup operation to a modern-day park -- Trevorrow's admission is important for one reason: Jurassic World will not be a reboot. By returning to its roots without restarting the story, the film can satisfy new and old fans alike.

I know I should have learned my lesson by now, but who am I kidding? I'll be there at midnight, Imma sucka for JP.

Animatronics was the real sell in the first movie. Wish they did more of it. Even Lord of the Rings did a lot of on location shooting and even miniatures. Wish they did more of that in movies.

I know that. I'm just saying we've gotten lazier with CGI over time. It's relied on way too much, and it just doesn't look real. That's my fear for this movie.
I think one of the key reasons is that CGI costs way less than having to build animatronics.

Some CGI looks real and others look terrible.

So hyped for this. I agree about the need to blend CGI and actual physical effects. All the action scenes in the Dark Knight looked dope because they were real. Obviously there will be some CGI, but I have no doubt they're going to bring it big time with this.

Animatronic dinosaurs have been confirmed :pimp:

More Jurassic World Set Photos Reveal New Visitor Centre?

As production on Jurassic World continues to heat up on the tropical island of Hawaii, more and more on-set photos are making their way online. Yesterday, director Colin Trevorrow and crew filmed what seems to be one of the opening sequences for the film, in which Helicopters chauffer guests to the new park, - very reminiscent of the opening sequence in Jurassic Park when we're first introduced to Isla Nublar. Thanks to our friends at Reel Tours Hawaii, we've got a few new photos to share, of film crew in Helicopters, gathering aeriel shots, most likely for a similar opening shot of the island as the landing pad comes into view.

In addition to these awesome set photos, speculation is building that the Hawaii Convention centre is being used as the main building for the new park in Jurassic World. Not only does the overall design of the structure ressemble the concept artwork created by Nathan Schroeder, but locals are reporting seeing film crew and construction sites popping up at various locations. Could this be the new visitor centre? Check out this comparison photo below, and let us know what you think by commenting below!
