The quality control has been lacking as of late. The 1300s are a prime example. A friend of mine just bought a pair of 577s that didn't even have the lace holes punched out.

The two pair of UK577s I bought were the same way. Every lace hole popped out a little piece. Like they were punched, but not cleared. Better than huge glue stains or sewing flaws, but even small stuff can definitely use improving upon.
