Creed fragrances do not command a premium in France. You can get 4oz bottles shipped to the US from established perfumeries for around or less than $200 shipped. You don't have to worry about "grey market" suppliers as these are authorized Creed retailers and all of the batch numbers are current as in fresh 2015 products not 2-3 year stock that Fragrancenet is selling at a higher price. Use Google Translate and shop away. If you create an account with a USA address they will deduct the VAT as well.

If you are patient just wait until Beauty Spin drops the price on Herod again. It has been as cheap as $105 this year you just have to catch it marked down.

I don't know what you consider too expensive but getting new bottles for under $200 shipped is a steal to me considering that's far less than retail price at Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom. I usually buy a 10ml split once from a seller here since that gives me a large enough sample to wear a fragrance enough times to know if it's truly bottle worthy.

Thanks for all of the info. You deifnitely dropped some gems here fam! I'm not afraid to admit that I'm still new to the game of buying quality fragrances. I'm trying to learn as much as possible.

The most I've spent on a fragrance was $50 until I started trying other fragrances. I never realized how deep this goes until I started doing research on notes, parfumes, etc. So for me, going

from spending $50 to spending northwards of $200 or more is a big jump to me.
 
That's why splits are a good idea. Rather than being a full bottle or something for a couple hundred bucks, you can load up on several smaller sizes and have a lot bigger variety. Find something you like? Then spend the money on a full bottle.

I was in the same spot last year when I first discovered the thread. But reading on here, fragrantica, basenotes, and trusting the recommendations and opinions of people in the thread and it's not as daunting as you'd think

I'm pretty much over the Creed line of fragrances, Baise done put me on to more complex scents with way more depth.

Still need a bottle of Herod, but I'll be patient on that for now.
