1: Switch your camera to Shutter Priority mode by turning the mode dial to 'S' or on Canon models, 'Tv'.

2: Choose a slower shutter speed which will blur the action. 1/60 is a good starting point.

3: Follow the subject through the viewfinder as you take the picture. Make sure you keep moving the camera as you press the button.

4: If the background isn't sufficiently blurred, choose a slower shutter, such as 1/30 or 1/15. If the action is too blurred, choose a faster shutter like 1/125.

Don't know if that's what ii2cky did, but it should give similar results. www.dslrtips.com

^big thanks Santi.. but how does this all work focus-wise? i've been wondering about that, like how to focus while taking the shot

When I tried panning, I just kept half pressing the shutter button so I knew I was focused, when i had the subject where I wanted, then pressed the shutterbutton full to take the pic and kept following until the camera had finished taking the shot.

^ you can either pre-focus manually on a general area where people/cars will pass by. as they pass by shoot. or i guess autofocus?

hmm, i guess i'm just gonna have to try it out for myself and play around with it.. thanks though Santi, you've been a big help dude foreal

edit: i'll try it out sometime, thanks everybody for the help

heres the results from my first attempt at emulating qkslvrtypeS haha...did this a couple of months ago but never felt they were worthy of posting...i need tofind a smooth paved lot with cool security so i can get a bit better at this...

i should have probably cleaned my rims/brakes before doing this..it was sort of spur of the moment when we decided to try it...

Hey guys I might have asked this earlier, but what is better than the stock lens that comes with the Digital Rebel xt.
I want to shoot sharper and better looking landscapes and potraits.
What is also the best fisheye lens and macro lens for it. Thanks ahead.
