Official Photography Thread: Vol. ICan'tFindTheLastOne

Saw this in the Olympics gallery.

I know it's pretty basic, but what kind of lens, settings, etc would you need to take a shot like this?

^ you can take a regular picture and create that effect on photoshop. You can get that distorted effect with a fisheye lens. If you plan to get a fisheyeplease don't OD on the pics. Only some shots work well with a fisheye. If every picture you take is composed of only those taken with that lens, it easilyloses its "wow" factor and becomes very boring.

Thanks.

Can you (or anyone else that's willing) photoshop a pic to look like that so that I can see the difference?

Like a before and after comparison.

I'm just curious to see if photoshopping a pic will look as good as a naturally shot one.

So i just got back from Frisco a few hours ago. Long drive and i'm tired as hell but here are some pictures from when i was there. Happened to be there theweekend the Gumball 3000 rally was in town so i was able to get a few pics of some beautiful cars. The Gumpert Apollo and the Jaguar XJ220 in a couple of thesepictures stood out the most since i have never seen one on the road, Enzo and Carrera GT i've seen around here in LA. A lot of pictures and there prettybig but here they are.

C&Cs are welcomed.

Peace.

some really good photos these last 2 pages.

j2o...did you enjoy Switzerland? I used to live in Bern, about an hour and a half from Lucerne (we call it Luzern). The city is full of beautiful things tophotograph. Any chance you took more photos...perhaps the Alps? I unfortunately had no interest in photography back then so I don't have any good pics.

I've finally uploaded pictures into my Flickr account, but I'll post some of them here tomorrow.
