I believe he uses the a Canon 50mm. Save the images to your computer, open up their properties and some pictures will show the details.

^^^Thanks. Those shots were taken with a Sigma 50-150 f/2.8. I'm very satisfied with the two Sigma lenses I have. No complaints.

Which Sigma are you looking to buy?

I have a Nikon D40... and was looking at the Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3... hope lens creep isn't a big issue...

Check out Nikonians. There's a whole forum dedicated to 3rd party lensesfor Nikon cameras. I'm sure you can get all your questions answered there....i remember seeing a post comparing the Sigma 18-200 and Nikon 18-200.

I don't think the autofocus will work - the only lenses that autofocus with the D40 are the Nikon AI-S lenses.

^^^kdwallace is correct. I don't see a HSM model for Sigma 18-200. The sigma HSM model lenses are the only ones that will autofocus on the D40/40x.

but I think mixed up the one without HSM, which has an MSRP of $600... the one with HSM has an MSRP of around $800... hmmm... outta my budget...

^^^Yes, that lens would work. The Nikonians website has a For Sale forum.....you might be able to find a deal there.
