After doing some research on good tattoo artists in NJ/NYC, I found a couple of names. 

Have any of you been tatted by Bang Bang, Tye Harris, Danny Lepore? These are a few of the artists that I read a lot of reviews for. If so, please share the experience.

After reading about who he is, I figured I would have to break in through his kitchen window to be able to talk to him about the possibilty of a tat. 

How do normal people lik eus get in touch with these "Big" artists?
 
They probably get hundreds of emails a day so unless his assistant finds your email and its a job he actually wants to do, goodluck.

I'd honestly look for someone else.

Like I said with Hannah, she gets 500 emails a day. You are best off just emailing them over and over again until you get a response. But it will take a year at best to get a response for you to sign up for a 2 year waiting list. Or you have to know someone.

Doubt Bieber, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, or Adele have waiting 2-3 years for anything in their lives.
 
What's up nt bros, I have had this urge for a log time and I'm in a place to do it. Any recommendations on how hard this is for an artist or whether it will come out bad, I never saw this type of art done as a tattoo. It's Arabic calligraphy.

Got emails back from Kristen Sorrenson, Fabian Gaillande and Dj Tambe that they'd like to do my piece at the NZ tattoo and art festival. Should I do it? It's like a 9 hour drive down there. I really wanted Randy Engelhard or Ben Laukis but they have yet to reply.  
 
Man sometimes I look at my work and think it woudve been better like this or that. I do have flaws in some of my tattoos whether it be design or some lines. I know Fong always kicks himself for some stuff on his sleeve but heres some stuff that sometimes bothers me if I think about it too much.


Veritas. Sometimes I wish that background wasnt there. It does look good but at times idk which I would have preferred.

And one line on the suns rays is crooked. I have no idea how to hide or fix this. Only bothers me when Im at the gym. Looks worse at certain angles, side view it looks decent. From the front or front-side view it looks crooked compared to the others. This angle is okay.

All in all, im still satisfied. May just be the little bit of ocd I have.
 
What's the furthest you would drive for a tattoo. Just discovered a Teresa Sharp in a studio called Studio 13. 3.5 hours away from my house (2.5-3 hours at the speed I be driving at). If I could get an appt with her (good luck to me) I think I might do it

I drove down to L.A. which was about 6-7 hours one time for my 3rd session. And then I drove back home right after (Never again will I do that). Total of 12+ hours of driving that day for a 5-6 hour session. In all, I say the drive is worth it for you if it's the tattoo that you really want.

Don't know why I didn't put two and two together. But I had no idea you were a girl/woman. I didn't even get it after those thigh tattoo pics above even though I thought that was totally strange for a guy to post that.

You should get her classic pin up model. That would be dope. Good luck on getting an appointment.

0.0 Im not a girl. That is not me. I'm a black guy. Not getting the tattoo either. Like the concept of the bird in the ribcage. It would look cool as an anatomical tattoo.

My point is someone got an appt right in front of my eyes tho I have been begging. Insult to injury

i want a half sleeve of porn (thats right, PORN) so bad, but in NYC 98% wont touch my skin becuase they cant do it correctly... the other 2% travel back and forth to Cali and be OVER booked :smh:

so hard to find a good person to tat up dark skin without it looking like a rash...

but here exactly why... great part of this doc I watched

and because sex rules my life... from thoughts to actions to bed choices...

clinically proven to be a sex addict...

ive accepted it and wont act like its not a part of my life, so might as well put it on front street...

so females know what their dealing with.

I wouldnt label her darkskinned by any means but this 3D effect is what I tried to get on my back that made me need to laser it off.

hot drawn women is sexual acts..

not showing everything but very suggestive... and you know whats happening..

but mosdef things that iam into.. not random positions or poses.
 
Also who are the "2% of NYC" artist who can tattoo on dark skin.

I'm assuming Bang Bang would be one of them. Tommy Montoya? Who else. Just wanna research em.

Bang Bang does great work... buuuuutttttttt, ive (just me) havent seen a lot of dark skinned work

Rising Dragon in NYC had a artist from japan/cali that was dope with dark skins named Hiroshi.. my boy still has his looking crispy...

and Alex from 3 Kings in brooklyn is the go to guy for many people...
