While I find the concept intriguing and the cast seems solid enough, I can't help but thinking this new Gotham series coming on Fox is going to be a disappointment. Seems to me they're taking too much on. Basically doing a pre-origin story that involves pretty much all the most iconic characters from the Batman cannon. I hope they pull it off, but my expectations aren't high. Anyone else feel the same way?

Even though it's FOX I'm not expecting much from it. Nothing I've seen has piqued my interest more than the initial I'm a fan of Batman interest.

As of right now I'm beginning to think Batman is one of those properties that needs a break across the board. Especially after all of the cock sucking of the Nolan movies. Seems the issue is being forced more than ppl having a creative or true to the source material take on Batman. It's like give more ppl chance to have their run on the mythos rather than good ideas being developed.

IMO it went way too far. Dudes had the shaft brushing against their pancreases.

That don't mean the movies had a problem, just the length and level of the reactions. They didn't warrant or were deserving of that buyt your mileage may vary,.

Fellas, I need some movie recommendations. I'm not feeling what I have in my netflix queue, so maybe you all can help.

I'm looking for any sort of crime/drama movie along the likes of Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River, The Departed, The Town, Prisoners, etc. I'm just naming those off the top of my head, but I want to see if there is anything that I missed along the way. Obviously, I've seen the classics like Goodfellas, Casino, Donnie Brasco, Carlito's Way, etc.

I'm grasping at straws here because, look at this ****:

Teen Titans Go! What'll y'all think? I know it's got the tv superhero world upset because if the goofiness, but that's why I love it. Cyborg, Beast Boy and Robin are pure comedy, while Raven is in deadpan and Starfire is in a constant state of ignorant bliss. It's wired, the stakes are just as high as they were in Teen Titans, but the general mood is lighter. I love that they even put this out, two shows, completely different style but generally the same storyline sand character arcs. I could write a thesis about the two shows.


I really like what Cartoon Network has been putting out. Gumball, Adventure time, Regular show and I'm just starting to watch Steven universe.

@JJs if yu can find it, I recommend One False Move. Its a crime drama set in a small town with Bill Paxton as the sheriff and Bill Bob Thornton as the bad guy. First thing I ever saw Thornton in and he gives an outstanding performane. A Simple Plan is another solid crime film that stars those same two guys.
Also, the Pledge with Jack Nicholson.

I'm assuming you've seen Donnie Brasco, but since its not quite as big as something like the Departed, I figured I'd mention it.
