Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Not quite epic like others.. but I loved the ending of 50/50

I think Pearl Jam just sealed it for me.

that was a great ending. when he sees the book rogen is reading in regards to helping someone deal with cancer.

What are some of the best movie endings in recent years? 2009+ ?

Whiplash is the best ending in the past 10 years

Not Quite.

Arguably one of the greatest endings in recent film history.

More of the climax than the ending but Godzilla atomic breath down the creatures throat is pure greatness

Loved the mirroring of the close ups of Cesar's face in last years planet of the apes.

One of the all time great last shots is rocky 3

Never even heard of Enemy til this thread :nerd: will have to check it out.

Pixar killed it with the endings in the last decade:

Toy story 3

Walle

Up

Ratatouille

But I'll throw out: inglorious basterds, the hangover, django, end of watch, wreck-it Ralph, safety not guaranteed, birdman, warrior, the town, moon, zombieland, tropic thunder, forgetting Sarah Marshall, casino royale, the prestige, little miss sunshine

The endings that hit me the most emotionally have to be wall-e, toy story 3 or end of watch..

All hit me right in the feels

Prisoners had a better ending than enemy. Like ya I understand the symbolism with the spider and everything but I feel like all that build up, and that's what we get?

I hate when these questions are asked and for a quick second I'm hype cuz I've seen a lot of movies with great endings and then my mind just goes ******* blank and I can't think of one.

If I do it would have probably come out in 2007 so it wouldn't even count. :smh: @ me

So far lots of good movies named with great endings.

agreed ... such a mindf***

im biased but basterds has one of the best endings in recent memory. can usually call endings but when i saw it in the theatre i was biting the s*** out my nails because i had no idea how it was gonna end or what was going to happen to the characters in play

as far as this year I liked The Gift's ending

False. There was zero build up in "Enemy". The movie could've ended when The Teacher finds the key & we all would've been satisfied. That particular ending came from LEFT field & after I gathered my jaw from the floor and constantly thought about the ending, its completely sensical.

I don't think I know anyone who's seen this movie and not jumped out of their seat/chair/couch while yelling "Oh S**t!"

I absolutely HATED the ending of inglorious basterds. it just felt so damb sloppy compared to the rest of the movie.

most of the basterds die off because their plan doesn't work. They end up catching Waltz's character not because of outsmarting him or beating him in any way, but because he ******* turned himself in. Same with the reason Hitler dies from getting dude emptying a full AK clip into his face,, then the whole theatre explodes. it just seemed so tacky for a movie that was so masterfully executed the rest of the film.

Just saw It Follows...........I was blown away. Probably the best "horror" film since The Ring. The cinematography is on some next level **** and the music is perfect. The wide angle panning shots and the 360 continuous filming scenes......stunning. Thanks for recommending NT.

Sidenote: What is the best horror genre film since 2000? I mean slim pickings jeeze. A Saw movie? Cabin in the Woods? The Ring? 28 days later?

I'm a watch that video about the ending of Enemy later today.

What was the ending and what was the alternate ending of I Am Legend? I can't remember either, smh
