last batch. That old school joint is from 1915 and it’s the type you need to hand crank I order to start the car, lol.

Very nice pics man. Thanks for posting them. Looks like it was a good day to be out & about 😎. I can't believe there's a 2nd gen Challenger in there( the black one with it's hood up & Challenger script on the side). It's the forgotten Challenger, thank God .

They were made from 1978 to 1983 & the car was basically a rebadged Mitsubishi Galant Lambda. I don't know what they were thinking calling it a Challenger 🤦 lol. That Viper has a nice paint job- I believe it's called Green with envy. The Plum Crazy Purple Roadrunner is the best looking car in the lineup, imo.

I remember watching an episode on Jay Leno's Garage where he was showing one of his more vintage automobiles that also had the hand crank to start feature. He said if you don't do it fast & hard enough it can recoil & seriously hurt your hand...I would not want to be the one trying to get that **** started, lol.

TURBO UNO TURBO UNO That twin turbo Charger is dope too. Any chance the owner started that bad boy up? Must have a sweet exhaust note. I like the sinister looking Ford Model A custom as well...looks like it's got a BDS blower mounted on top :pimp:. Not too many speed shops mess with those BDS blower set ups. I remember asking my guy at the speed shop I take my Challenger to about BDS blowers & he said they're very finicky & a headache to install.

zmaqbool zmaqbool I had to take a picture of that rebadged Mitsubishi Challenger/Sapporo since I’ve never seen one look brand new, lol. It had “Historical” plates on it so it’s rare for sure.

Yeah, all those owners would turn on their cars and rev it on requests from people attending. Those turbos and exhaust was screaming and we all felt that rumble in our chests  :pimp: The gasser with the smoke-stacked 426 hemi was loud too and the older folks called it a “ground pounder” haha. All in all it was a great day. There were tons more cars I didn’t take pics of because people were surrounding the cars so much, lots of foot traffic. Jay Leno usually shows up at the end in his expensive/rare cars at the end of the show but I didn’t stick around. He brought the “Tank car” and a rare “jet turbine” powered car the last few times I attended, real down to earth guy.

Time to upgrade my head unit. My current one is from 2008. I’m a pioneer fan but I think that’s my 90s talking. Anyone got any reasonably priced recommendations around $500?

I don’t drive my baby enough, I take the train to work. 2015 528 with 40k miles. Somehow I still had to replace the DME unit. Randomly crapped out one day and started showing chassis stabilization errors. I have a love hate relationship with Bimmers man.

Pioneer still makes some of the best stuff (it's what I would go with still). It's gotten less expensive now because none of the in dash units from most brands have a CD drive anymore. If some do, it's usually a DVD for nav and still up there price wise. But look for anything that is basically an App radio. Uses your phone for all things. Most also have CarPlay & AA. Best advice, just go to Crutchfield as they are THE BEST for head units still to this day. They give you all the wiring harnesses and trim pieces to make it look factory.

I'd love to upgrade the old Pioneer AVIC-D3 in my Mustang, but I still have an old Ipod Classic color (the original shaped one) that has over 4,200 songs. And since I don't have my iTunes on a computer, I do have my library backed up on 7 DVDs) all the new ones don't work with an older iPod. So I gotta do some digging on how to get the music off the device and save to a flash drive. Then I'd be good (just have to find the right program/software to do it right as I learned years ago, plugging the iPod to a computer without iTunes will wipe the iPod). Any help anyone can give on this would be wonderful. 🙏

Took my car to Big Willow for my first track day.

Big Willow is an intense track, especially for a newbie. Takes a lot of balls to drive it fast (ie. flat out through turn 6/7/8 . Especially how turn 9 seemingly comes out of nowhere, and given the elevation of the pavement vs. the dirt/grass, you absolutely do NOT want to go off track because you will cause major damage to your car.

Buttonwillow is much more technical (and forgiving). Give that a try if you ever get a chance.

Def rare...I've only seen pics of it online. Nice, Jay Leno is def a good & chill dude. That would be the 1963 Chrysler Turbine Car- dope concept from the 60's. That car was def a product of the Space Age & is so damn unique inside and out. I love the turbine exhaust note it makes.
