RIP New York Hip-Hop? (Need Some Feedback)

Harry Fraud and The Hitmen are just as good as any producers from whatever region.

Where the **** are the Heatmakerz???

Some of you dudes try too hard.

You apparently don't even know where Swizz Beats is from (he maybe spent a few of his High School years in ATL).

Chicago is NOT below the Mason Dixon Line either.

And Kanye being "hotter" than Jay musically at any point in either of their careers is debatable. At the very least, I'm not sure there are any numbers to support that.

Jay blew up working with Ski, Clark Kent.

Then moved onto Premier, The Hitmen, Swizz. All NY dudes.

"Hard Knock Life" was produced by the 45 King.

After that, it's as good a look for Timb and the Neptunes to work with Jay as it it for Jay to work with them.

And that whole time he's still rocking with dudes like Just, Bink etc. "Do It Again" produced by Rocwilder.

It's crazy to me how people want to be so vocal these days with no research when the information is easier to find than ever.

Here you with that Jay needing somebody to get hot again

Timbaland
Swizz
The Neptunes
Kanye West
Zaytoven

most of the people on this list originated below the mason dixon line

Like Phil said you trying too hard.

He was working with Kanye when nobody knew who he was. Him and Tim been working for damn near 20 years same with Swizz.

By your logic every rapper that works with a known/good producer is doing it to "get hot"

just saying a lot of his hits come from southern producers

production wise there is no region touching the south and the originator of hip hop know that thats why they flock to virginia, florida, georgia, tennesse, north cak and texas to keep them selves relevant the south has been holdin for well over 25 years and at this point dont see that ever changing new york hasnt been innovating sonicly since RZA's beats in early to mid 90s or maybe buckwild's strong run back then....i gotta thank jay z for showin respect for southern production and help making it the main stay for hip hop also shouts to every new york mc that tried to run to timb or neptunes to save their careers somewhere DJ SCREW is smiling know that everybody in the game done stole and misused the S.U.C. whole vibe..

first off yall need to stop biggin up incorrect info if you really knew hip hop premier is from texas and ski is from north carolina and swizz got his musical education from atlanta aint nothin new york about that ruff ryders didnt sound like other ny artist cause it was heavy southern production influence if swizz wouldve stayed in ny and not touched down in the south ruff ryders sound would be totally different and now if you take away those 3 key producers to new yorks "unique"sound how does your statement hold up now?

also chicago is just like the south they could close off contact with everyone else and still make ill music all the producers and mc in the chicago area ...could that be done rt now in the 5 boros?

Dame Grease is from Harlem

So because moved down to Atlanta for part of high school it gave him his musical education?

Just because you were born a certain place doesn't mean you don't have a New York sound. From samples to 1200's, Ski and Premo are the definition of a New York sound.

And the Ruff Ryders ain't have a NY sound?? The hell?

Dudes in here be either too biased for the south or too biased for NY.
