This I cannot support. Not the way you should handle things.

"...Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." -Mark 12:28-31
This thread kind of reminds me of the situation when I was in the military. We had a cross hidden in the hills where I lived on base. And after every deployment, Marines would come leave something at the base of the cross in memory of guys who died. Christian, Atheist, Buddhist, Jewish, ect, all had the option to get a map, and find the cross, and leave something in memory of their friends.
Some Atheist Veterans Organization was trying to have local politicians place pressure on the Base Commander to make us tear the cross down. Now bear in mind, that this cross is atleast 5-6 miles up and down several mountains, and you need a map, and a compass (if you're really good at land nav).
I just lost my train of thought. But something reminded me of that

That's extremely petty. Did they give in?
Respect, sir. That's how it should be done, on NT and in real life. And that goes for BOTH sides of the coin--those that believe in God, Buddha or whomever else and those that don't. Personally, I don't care what anyone believes--you can be a good human whether you're religious or non-religious. Whatever someone does/believes that gives them strength and aids them in being a positive, contributing member of society, I say go for it. No need to crap on folks trying to gather in a positive light and in a way that doesn't infringe on differing beliefs.I'm a staunch antitheist, and Anton is my dude...he's brilliant, but I can't come into a thread and **** on what other people find strength in. If this was a religious debate, I'd possibly be in. But this isn't a debate at all. This is a thread with the sole purpose of posting things for the people it pertains to.
oh myBut I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4
"You are my God. Show me what you want me to do, and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path."
Psalms 143:10
