Cuz superstars are friends since a young age like someone said... superstars now try to team up instead of compete..... just look at lj...no real rivalries..

.... it's changed and not for the Better.not to say players don't want to win it's just different. Just acknowledging it. It is what it is.

Is this going to be the narrative going forward for REGULAR season games of note in Cleveland this year; that ESPN/Sportscenter has to go on location...

Basically, you're saying that friends can't be competitive, which is a total load of crap. Yeah, a lot of these guys have known each other for years, but they wouldn't be where they are without being ultra competitive individuals. I mean, watch Anthony Davis and Boogie last night. They just played together on Team USA, and they were going hard at each other last night. You don't think these guys want to prove they're the best big man in the league?

Also, wouldn't you rather a rivalry be determined by actual basketball play and not by which team plays uglier than the other? Watching the Knicks in the mid-90s was painful. The Bad Boy Pistons were painful too. We get too nostalgic over the teams that killed the "basketball" part of the NBA. It's because of the Knicks and Pistons that all these rules exist now. It wasn't "better" back then.
