The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games Thread 🔥🥇🥈🥉

Anyone here who knows or follows karate to break this down?

Red performs some special, hard to pull off kick within the first 10 seconds of the match and is up 3 - 0. Supposedly this is like being up by 20 at the start of a basketball game. Then he scores another point and the score is 4 - 0 in favor of the red hands man. I think this is like being up 30 at half of a basketball or football game.

Suddenly red kicks the absolute **** out of blue.

Smooth knocks him out.

Ref jumps in and disqualifies red while medical staff tends to blue.

Red gets DQ'd for excessive force.

To continue where I left off.....

Blue somehow rises like the Undertaker and comes back out to win the gold medal.

The questions I have are:

1. I understand the excessive force part. But I wasn't clear on how points are scored. It looked as if you can hit the opponent in the head but not the face??

2. Is scoring like soccer where once you have a 4 - 0 lead, it's pretty much a wrap?

Personally, I enjoy listening to Sanya so I hope if Allyson decides to go into announcing that they somehow find a way to keep them both.

The women's handball final is entertaning, France pretty much have it sewn up their keeper is clutch.

This Olympics was awesome for me. I love it so much. It's been a joy. I had lots of fun watching and chopping it up with you guys in these late mornings. Its been fun fellas.

I want to compete in the Olympics so bad. Competition is everything. I love seeing the greatness.

World championships next year too.

I know there's a lot of people saying they're retired and done....but I have to think, with world championships next year....and then the Paris location and shortest downtime ever, they may tap back in. Who doesn't want to go to Paris!?

The IOC needs to settle on a couple spots to rotate the Olympics around. Los Angeles should definitely be one of them, as they have the 2028 Olympics. All of the venues are still used, to some degree.

i mean, i love the multiple venues the locations have as long as they're good places with resources. LA for sure. Florida, Orlando area has some potential and lots of hotels and arenas. Denver could work again. brazil funky *** made it work, any country can. Vegas. Detroit
