Man..I remember seeing Ingram's high school mixtape and being intrigued. Of course I had illusions of KD instantly. I even came in this thread and asked why nobody was talking about him. In the back of my mind I was downplaying him, thinking the Lakers would never have a chance to draft him and yet here we are. This is a glorious day. I did the same thing when I first saw Randle's tape .

The age of Aquarius is dawning upon us my friends. The water bearer has returned to replenish the lakes and provide both nourishment and flourishment for years to come. If you guys thought I was all in on Randle and Clarkson, you aint seen nothing yet . This is going to be the best team in the league sooner than you expect.

I appreciated Hibbert's professionalism this year, but he's pretty terrible.

The NBA has kind of made him obsolete.

pmatic pmatic I dunno about Gallo. I watched a good number of nuggets games this season and he was pretty inconsistent. Ingram really does remind me of KD. He's not quite as fluid but I think this will work to his benefit as KD at times tries to do too much whereas Ingram might be more inclined to play within his limits. When durant keeps it simple, it really looks like Ingram's game.

Somebody had compared him to Robert horry and I was watching an old laker playoff game and that was pretty much spot on. That would be his floor IMO.

There's not going to be another KD, at least for a decade, 20 years if ever.

7 foot elite shooters/ball handlers are not coming, he's a genetic outlier in the same way that Lebron is.

His body just shouldn't work the way that it does and then you add that he has an insane work ethic and is such a gym rat and basketball addict that he watches everything from HS to WNBA constantly.

Also don't even wanna get into trying compare freshman year KD to freshman year Ingram because it's not close.

Ingram is special in his own right but he'll never be KD, I like a more athletic Gallo as a comparison especially after he gets NBA level nutrition and training.

God damn, depressing

Depressing is a way too strong word.

Just because his game and build are similar to Gallo doesn't mean he won't be a multiple All Star, he's already better than Gallo at the same age, more athletic, better finisher etc.

KD is a potential top 5 player depending on the rest of his career, Ingram doesn't have that level of potential but who does?

Ingram

DRuss

Clarkson

Randle

Future's looking bright :pimp:

Being garbage paid off :pimp:

Yea that's a great core for the next 6-7 years.

Just gotta add that elite rim protector, a defensive perimeter specialist and some bench scoring.

I love Ingram but I personally don't think Russell, Clarkson or Randle are winning types of players. They're all me-first "get buckets" type of basketball players and none of them are good defenders. That's not a good mix of young talent IMO.

Interesting.

What do you think of the collection of talent Philly has acquired?

I see you, Ben.

I still feel like Whiteside in LA would be a guaranteed ticking time bomb. His livewire *** out in Hollywood on a squad filled with kids? Dis tew much. Going from a solid core of vets w/ strong leadership out in Miami to…what? A young rookie head coach and Trucker Hat are gonna rein him in if he acts up? Lou Will and his two b****** are the veteran presence out there to hold players accountable? I feel like it would only be a matter of time...

That being said though, if you're the Lakers and you have a real shot at him, you go for it and worry about the rest later. They're currently not in a position to turn down someone like Whiteside.
