Context: I was reading draft stuff, mocks etc. See Simmons at 4 constantly.


Wouldn’t be specific guys, would be positions and luxury picks. I personally don’t consider Simmons as a linebacker (example: Urlacher, Zach Thomas, Luke, etc.) I saw a comparison that was a big Yes for me, Derwin James. James went late to the Chargers around pick 20. Giants need a lot of pieces, not luxury picks. But for a team that took Barkley they value the luxury over need.

Looking at the teams in the top 10, all need OLine, DLine, QBs.

dude is the perfect SAM for what today’s NFL is.. you can legit play him like a 3rd safety.. and most teams are doing that a ton anyways

Of course he shouldn't be considered a Urlacher or Luke he's more versatile than them and can do more on the field. He can rush the passer, stop the run, play coverage, whatever at a high level. He's positionless. Dude is a mutant.

you gotta look at him as a legit version of what teams do with their SS or 3rd safety role, where they have that guy in the box a ton, out in coverage and then periodically rushing the passer

exactly where teams are running out of 3 or more WRs sets.. and spreading you out and passing out of 2 or more TEs sets

teams want to be able to give you looks and then screw with you because you’re either in base or nickel and look for a weakness.. dude helps a TON

hell that’s why Jamal adams has so much value.. we had to use Malcolm Jenkins a ton in that role since he lost a step and couldn’t cover like he use to be able to
