i have 2 pairs of air max light. suede/plastic mesh materials. for me, they run usual nike sizing to small. they don't run big. so you got size 8US and 9US basically..according to my sizing, i would fit ok in the 9US(8UK)

Thanks guys. The difference may seem subtle but it's not. I wish I had some before pics of the atmos. The factory shape was just off-putting to me. :x

Although I would suggest that instead of getting the toe box wet and directly putting the iron to it, you get a wet t-shirt or towel and place it over the toe box and iron over it to avoid burning your shoes.

On topic of the whole re-shaping thing. My thought behind the reason that shoes like the am1, and most Jordans look so different now is because Nike is using less padding and less materials overall. So the shoe has to be slimmed down to fit your according shoe size. Thus giving it it's weird shape. I don't know just a theory of mine but I would bet over the course of time Nike saves millions of dollars cutting back on all this material and in return we get ugly shoes. :rolleyes
