Putting the brush on the grounds an excellent way to scratch your paint, dope picture besides that

Thinking about getting a lens for portraits engagement shoots weddings etc which do you guys think would be better a 77 1.8 or a 50-135 2.8 both autofocus any opinions???

I'm looking at getting a prime lens... contemplating between either a 50mm 1.8 or a 35mm 1.8.
It'll mainly be used for everyday-use... just something better for lower-light conditions.
Any comments/recommendations on the 50 vs the 35? Thanks guys.

what camera body do you have?  remember 1.6x factor when using a crop sensor camera, so the 50 would be more like 80mm and the 35 closer to 55mm
this might affect your decision based on what you anticipate shooting.

I have the Nikon D40, which I THINK has a magnification of 1.5x.  Yeah, I was concerned that a 50 might feel "too close" and that I'd end up having to stand really far back all the time.  
I have an 18-200mm.  Will my lens at zoomed at 35 or 50 "look" or "feel" like a 35 or 50 prime lens?  Hope that makes sense.
