O.K., I see what you're saying.

Fanatic mentioned earlier that her team beat your team, and you mentioned that there is no reward for that; it's just a victory.

I ask you the same thing, and your response is that the reward is an easier road in the tourney; fair enough. A minor reward though it may be, it's still areward.

i could say alot of curse words right now out of anger, but its over now
1. stop all the hate on the city of Memphis
2. that was one of the best college games ive seen in a while
3. props to UT, but we will take this lose in stride and move forward
4. i understand that we, being #1 lost to the #2 team in the nation,
but why does that make us #2?
we should still be #1...only 1 loss to UT's 2 losses...1 to an unranked team

The Vols should definitely be #2; no question.

If you're ranked second and you beat the top ranked team, you're #1.

If you're unranked and you beat the top ranked team, that doesn't mean you should be ranked #1 (or at all). If you're ranked low (like 24 orsomething) and you beat the top ranked team, that doesn't mean you should be ranked #1, but if you're #2 and you beat #1, you're now #1.
