A few buddies and I are taking a trip out there for the Memorial Day Weekend. I think the official dates are 5/21-5/25. We met a few yambs from UH last month while on spring break, so we should be cool off rip, but I want to see a lot more that college thots. We're staying in Downtown, or Midtown... Not sure what you guys call it. What are some restaurants and bars to check out?

I just moved from Houston but i hit it up occasionally because my friends still love there and there's much more to do.

Drink Houston is pretty much a sure shot on the weekend, 3 different party areas all playing different genres. Females there are OK.

On Friday, Grooves of Houston is always jumping. Free all night, 75 cent drinks till 9. Classy/ratchet black crowd.

On Sunday, social junkie on Washington is usually on point, kinda ratchet but it's chill. Mad exotic cars will be parked out. Ghosts, Bentleys, rarris, etc.

Prospect park is a good look on Wednesdays, chill black crowd, great wings and good drink specials.

We used to frequent a place called drinkery, but the owner is blatantly racist. There's a spot around the corner called shot bar that's a good place to pregame. Finding somewhere to park in that area is a female dog and your joint will get towed if you're not careful.

Our bread and butter was kung fu on Washington ave

Sugar Hill is a decent black spot, nothing special. Dark atmosphere with good dj,only went there once.

Men's room is a strip joint that we hit up every now and then, fine bunnies, my boys say they have great food if you get there early enough on Friday.

Kona grill in the galleria was our spot for to get saki bombs.

I relocated to San Antonio for a job but boy do I miss Houston.

Also you need to consider visiting Austin. I went for the first time last week and that one night equaled any fun night I've had in Houston.

I live in Houston. Some Midtown bars to check out: Celtic Gardens, The Dogwood, 3rd Floor. Also check out Washington Ave. some cool dive bars out there if you're into that type of setting. Kung-Fu is dope, has free arcade games and good drinks. That's all I can think off top. I know there's a few places I left out.

Hit me up when you get out here tho so we can eat :pimp:

Thanks for the spots bro . I've been in Houston since August and I've been bored. I usually hit up the alley Kat, the rooftop at UH and bars. I'm set going to check up the spot last you mentioned.

Yeah i meant to list celtic garden, Sunday funday is cool there. It was crazy packed on St Patricks day. I hit Dogwood on Halloween, crazy packed.

Hit a Brazilian steakhouse, I like Chama Guacha on Westheimer.

Go to the Galleria mall

Man if you haven't booked your hotel, try to get the Doubletree (IIRC) downtown, the one that is glass on all sides and a triangle. If you can get a chic back to your room in that, especially if they give you a corner room like I had, no way you're not ******* here, pinned up on the glass overlooking the city from the 30th floor in no time. The Omni was pretty nice too.

I remember that trip like it was yesterday, 2013 All Star Weekend, took free sample pack of some **** that turned out to have Levitra AND Cialis in it (and has such been removed from shelves by the FDA then rereleased new formula). I had a legit rager hard on for 4 straight days, not a chub, full on rager. Was catching migraines by day 2 from lack of blood flow

For shopping check at the galleria, shouldnt be to far from where you are staying at. 3 stories just about every store from basic to high end is there.
Check out the rice village for Premium Goods, local sneaker shop, also has some good eats around the area.
As mentioned above Washington Ave has some cool bars. Word Adivce one place may not care what you wear but the others wont let you in if your pants are slightly baggy.
After all the Partying hit up Mais for some Vietnamese food or House of Pies ( 3 locations )
If you get a chance hit up Kemah Boardwalk or even Galveston ( like 30-40 mins away) try some cajun or seafood!

Every single word of this is on point...

Dont know if you heard, but its a place to eat for every bump on your face lol

If you like a good sandwich go to Kenny and Ziggy's off Post Oak(around the corner from galleria). You'll find plenty of other places to eat in that River Oaks/Galleria area.

If you like burgers, The Hubcap Grill.....you're welcome.

Appreciate all the help fellas. I'll keep you all posted when I touch down. We're renting a condo, so there will be parties at our spot.

Social Junkie is really good for day parties (a few other spots on Washington as well).

Never been to Bayou Live area, but I've seen decent crowds there.

Midtown is cool depending on where you're going. I've been to 3rd floor/ whatever the two other clubs are and they are okay. Usually out there for happy hour.

West gray/river oaks has good bars. Check out highland village for food shopping too.

If you want ratchets go to fox hallow. There's another place in this high rise off Almeda (the mosaic) that's more classier.

Rice village area is pretty chill if you want to shop (premium goods is there), or catch a game with cheap drinks and food.

You NEED to eat:
Frenchys Chicken, Pappadeaux Seafood, Hubcap Grill Burger. So many more, but those are close proximity to where you'll be staying.

If you're into strip clubs, do yourself a favor & hit up V-Live,Dreams, or Onyx...I think Drake has a concert here on the 24th of May so V-Live will definitely be crazy. Aside from that, the rest of the information in this thread seems to be spot on

Frenchys is overrated in my opinion.

Lived in houston my entire life and I've never been to frenchys, spankys pizza is a necessary stop imo
