TINKER AIR JORDAN 3 REVOLUTION PARTIAL SKETCH 1987...(PIC)

Tinker is really an Architect at heart.. I myself is an architect & I'm very surprised how detailed he is in executing plans for a shoe. I hope, we cansee more some of these construction drawings. Great find!

Nice find... good thing tinker came in when he did or we probably wouldn't have got the jordan line that we got. Jordan might be with adidas orsomeone...lol

Nice find!

Hopefully this post will make people that are so quick to crap on every single new Jordan design realize how hard it is to actually build a shoe from scratch.(i mean just look at all the work that went into the back heel alone!!) Because the same people dissin all the new J'z could'nt design a shoe to savethey life! People need show more respect for JB IMO. If you dont like the direction JB is headed in then by all means go buy yourself some new balance orconverse & keep it pushin. Jus means more J's for the real fans like myself.

i can't believe i've been on niketalk this long....lol

that sketch that you have is actually wrapping paper for a shirt that nike released a few years ago. The shirt, if i remember, is the same design, and itactually came in a MINI silver sb box, with no signs of "SB" on it of course.

It was also a White Label tee...now i'm sure somebody else saved the pic though....can't find it online at all

Very nice find. Its nice to login and see something fresh to discuss. Nice pic and good post brother.

I had the privilege of touring Tinker's design studio several years ago as a NIKE Basketball employee. At the time, he had design sketches of the AirJordan line arranged chronologically, including the shoes created between numerical models that hadn't been produced yet. The AJ3 sketches were labeled"Revolution" as a reference to the 1998 marketing campaign featuring shoes with the visible Air. The AJ3 and Air Revolution Low were essentially thesame shoe except for the ankle strap. The upper components, midsole, cushioning, eyelets, ankle cut, and overall silhouette are practically identical.

It was a common practice for the Air Jordan to share design features with the statement shoe from NIKE Basketball each model year.
