People don't mind reading and discussing race and politics at all, but people would rather not read a bunch of aimless superficial dravel about those topics, as it defeats the purpose of even having those types of discussions.

I have no need to read thoughts on anything of ppl with minimal life experiences..that goes for the paragraph poster,as well as the twitter and instagram ppl dude speaks of..how do I no these ppls experiences? It oozes thru there words and paragraphs...you can write a whole lot of words with good punctuation and formation trying to come off as articulate but that **** ain't fooling nobody but your own young minded kind..hop off the internet go get some real life thoughts instead of sheltering your thoughts within your own mind..

Race is not a subject of discussion that has any important one bit..if u lived through enough times you would know to keep it moving cuz ppl gonna b ppl n that is that..the best you can do is keep your,own thoughts and instill them on your own offspring.. Anything further than that and your just jawjacking for the hell of it which ppl don't wanna see or hear so just keep it moving ..

@mivish06 you're absolutely right in everything you've said. You're simply speaking with logic. The fact that ones says, "I'm lightskin" in a list of what they bring to the table of course implies (in a context of logic) that the lightskin is desirable, advantageous, a positive, etc.

Now with that being said, @am1x90xnike is also correct in SOME of his reasoning as well. The statement in my estimation had no malice, prejudice, or discrimination tied into the INTENT. It's just the reality, and a bit of people stating a positive physical trait in the current reality. More of a confidence and embracing of one's straight that has proved to be beneficial/relevant in regards to the topic at hand.

The goal is to get to a place where one saying "I'm lightskin" has no hints of prejudice, discrimination, etc because there are no man-made advantages or disadvantages due to the color of one's skin. In order to get there, @mivish06's line of thinking has to be more commonplace and understood. That's the actual fact.

And to those talking about @am1x90xnike's posts, either read/learn or don't comment. From my experience with his posts, they're thought out and well articulated points relevant to the topic or sub-topic at hand. That brings value to the grand scheme of things. People can venture onto a sneaker forum and learn a perspective or idea that might not have been previously explored. C'mon on yall

I would say "I'm proud I'm smart", regardless of who is in the room. But, I never said "I'm proud I'm not dark skin" I said, I'm proud "I'm light skin", which are two different statements, one is a neg to other people ,the other is a statement of self, you are making them into one, which is why I think personal insecurity made you make that leap.

Thats a different argument. being discriminated because of your skin color is not the same as a dude saying "I'm proud of my skin color." I can see how the line of thought (being proud of your skin) can easily lead to discrimination and injustice, but the thought itself is rather harmless, and in fact it is kind of what you are promoting, you are saying "people ought to be prouder of their dark skin"

'Merica has decided that medium brown skin or "light skin", for black folk, is whats up, we make fun of pale women (ginger, daywalker, ghost, etc.) and people spend a lot of money on tanning spray, etc. to make themselves more attractive. So if I had to put something on an "attractveness resume" I'm going to put "light skin" just like I would put "tall" or put "strong" all things that could easily "lead" to injustice, but generally don't, and in and of themselves aren't "injust" statements.

I'm good at conversing with them so they tend to open up a lot. I hear them, but hardly ever listen. A lot of females have the same problems.
