The shoes look good to me.  The 23s aren't stretched, the collars aren't puffy, the patent leather cuts are good, and the soles have some yellowing on them.  Only thing that concerns me is that Space Jams have never had a retro card come with the shoes and you mentioned that he has a picture of a retro card.
