Was just reminiscing about my trip and thought I'd re-read this thread.
Absolutely loved the Lakers game I saw, but in hindsight I do half regret the seats I bought, which were right behind the Lakers bench. Number 1, the players are too damn tall so even when they are sitting down I could barely see the court action. And number 2, every time there was a break the security would stand right in front of me and face me to keep an eye out for trouble makers, so that blocked my view too.
I had a chance to yell out to Kobe during a timeout, but he was sitting by himself at the end of the bench, staring into space like he was in the zone, so I didn't have the guts to disturb him.
I did get a reaction from Metta World Peace when I showed him his jersey I bought during a timeout, so that was cool.
You're all lucky to be able to watch those games regularly, it really sucks to be an NBA fan in Australia.
