To the guys getting such long batter life, what are you settings on? (brightness, gps, bluetooth, etc)

Brightness - lowest possible setting

GPS - Device only/off

Bluetooth - Off

Sync Intervals - Every 6 hours/manual.

Wakelock Blocker - Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Play Store, Soundcloud, Groupme

I'm going to try this out. I usually have everything running (wifi, bluetooth, GPS, etc) with brightness at 100% so I see why my battery life is usually like 6hrs. I'm hoping for some good life on this G2 as I wait to get that 6P

I use Lux for my brightness. The stock Android auto brightness can't beat it.

 ^^^^^

I have wifi, Bluetooth and GPS off unless I'm using them. Also uninstalled the Facebook app because it is very battery and memory intensive

Everything off unless I'm using it, screen as low as possible

I usually keep my brightness at around 20% unless I'm going to bed (lowest), watching a long video (at least 50%), or outside on a bright day (at least 50%)

Typically leave syncing on, and alternate between data and Wi-Fi as appropriate.

I damn near never use GPS or Bluetooth so those stay off.

What do you guys think about project fi? Debating whether I want to use T-Mobile pre-paid or fi when my Nexus comes in.

Depending on what plan you get, T-Mobile is probably a better value right now. $10 per GB of data on Fi is pretty hefty IMO if you are a moderate user

I think I'm going to try Project Fi out for at least a month just to test out the service. I usually use around 4-6 GB a month and the 5GB plan for both is $70 plus tax. Might as well see if its worth it or not

Lol after reading y'all's setting I feel better about my battery life. I cannot stand a dim screen outside of being in a dark room.

At the risk of getting 4+ hours of OST in lieu of a fully bright screen and real time notifications Idk how y'all do it

I set mine at 50%, never had a problem with it while outside.

Anybody have issues with QKSMS? For some reason when I receive pictures it shows the new picture as a previous picture until I click on it. Known issue or just some mms bug?
