Watching this vid really ruined it for me. It showed that the man I grew up idolizing wasn't worth idolizing. It was a myth. Still, I enjoy watching old MJ games, always puts a smile on my face. I like to pretend the myth fed by the media is reality.

This, and when it's time to replace them when they're no longer wearable.

Haha there's truth to this. I narrowed my collection down to 60ish but it's getting more difficult to give up anything else.

Sadly I've already stopped (about 3 years ago)...the concept of gems being retroed over and over again has ruined it for me. The shoes don't really have any significance anymore, and I'm not talking price-wise.

Hopefully one day, most of us will come to this realization. The average person doesn't NEED Js in the first place, let alone double/triple-digit # of sneaker boxes piling up in the closet. There are plenty of cheaper/better alternatives out there to fulfill one's actual shoe needs. We obviously buy because we're all materialistic and want.

That being said, stop buying when you've got all the ones you want. This whole "game" has gotten too idiotic, with the number of hoops you need jump through for a simple pair of shoes. Grape Vs and I'm gone.

I have told my sell i need to stop buying them so many times i have about 50 j's and about 25 nikes. but i dont think i ever will lol

I'm going to stop when the price keeps getting higher...I know they are going up soon and will have some pair I will cop but not that many
