well most people on here share a common opinion about most players so it shouldnt be too hard to figure the tiers out

Not familiar with 2K's history of general accuracy when it comes to player ratings, but that sounds like a step in the right direction.
One thing to consider: How do we feel about adopting the concept of negative player values like that which was presented in the original post? I kind of like it, personally. Plenty of players are, in fact, negatively impactful. That would probably really draw too much bickering, though.
