Im a 13 in Griffey Max 1's too. I missed out on the 09 Emeralds. I just grabbed the Volts from in store from Snipes and the Emeralds online from FTL. We will see how these act/look when they come in.
Yeah I see the difference. The cut of nubuck/Durabuck is shorter on the retros. The embossed grooves on the last hump near the heel air max bubble should almost be perpendicular. I would love to own the OG Griffey 1's. Theyre a grail of mine.
This true, a lot of the 97-98 foamposite material used has a textured feel. Then there are pairs that came from the same run that were less textured than others. IIRC, but both of these 97 Royal Penny's came from the same factory in china with the same production dates. Or one pair is from China...
Yessir.
Oh yeah, they're deeper on the 97s for sure. However, the grooves on the 2026's are sharper and more defined than his OG Voltage pair.
Also, I will ALWAYS be in favor of the OG over the retro 7 days a week. I like identifying the subtle and noticeable differences between the OG vs...
This is very true. I've only had it happen twice where an OG zoom air unit still works. An OG pair of black/ metallic silver Zoom Turf 96's and the full-length zoom hasn't cracked or deflated. Same thing with a pair of 99 Garnett 3's. However, the heel tuned air units on the Garnett 3's are...
Mannnnnnnn the #Pane. We didnt know any better back in 2010 that glue weakens with age. We just learned recently that if you have old pairs, they need to be reglued before you can wear them. They were reglued and wearable.
I own the 2023 Playoffs, but I only wear the 98 Playoffs. That shape and quality leather, man>>>>>
Also, this is something you don't see ever. The holographic bubble hasn't fogged or cracked.
Nope, not at all. Sole swapping is pretty easy to do nowadays. You can save cash by coming with your own midsole for swaps Also, painting the midsole is really easy to do without concerns of the new paint chipping.
