Retailers in the US seem to all be right around the $1000-$1200 mark so that's sounds about right. I found a guy from Japan on eBay and got mine for just over $800

I wear a size US10.5 and I bought a size 6. They are a little short for my foot length wise but they will break in. You'll want a size 4 if you're a US8.5, size 4 in Hender scheme translates to size 8-9

Spaghettis are even better in person, love the $ dust bag too! Stayed tts and they fit perfect, nice and snug. Here they are with the alternate laces, might keep them in. People seemed to sleep hard on these which is cool. They definitely aren't for everybody. EB nailed this one.

BT's today, first time breaking them out. Really dug this colorway from the first time I ever saw them.

Yeah that thing is cool. I use it pretty often too, it's really handy for box opening. Kind of annoying to use a long blade for that so the short blade makes it really easy. It's between that or the Nalgene based on how much use I get out of them.

Just grabbed the Hester in grey/off-white, good on everything else I think.
