It looks like there was some repair work done. Stitching and possibly gluing the midsole on. ...that would be my guess.

Hard to tell these days since there aren't many around. Also a risky wear. If you're trying to sell, start high and lower the price until you get more interest or hit your minimum. If you're looking to buy, try to pay less than what you're willing to. Not much help, but there you go.
