I can 110% guarantee you that the stuff used on the tongue of the 2010 Flints is not genuine leather of any kind or treatment. It's completely synthetic. And it has nothing to do with how soft it feels.

Both the XIs and the AM1s look fake. Just something about the shape. And yeah, I know we're all used to getting crooked patent cuts on the XIs nowadays, but it still just doesn't look like a recent retro cut to me.
