Price check on these sample Jewel's. 7/10 condition; no OG laces:
I was thinking $70ish? I remember straat_jp has a DS sz 8 that (I think) sold around $130.
Nicely executed, jpena. Midsoles look 10x better than mine. Also, did you use exact size?
Brian, I use this stuff called Selley's Flexi-Bond. Though I don't think any glue can hold the sole on forever. The stitching is probbably the most crucial part in holding the sole to the upper, and glue...
^ Totally agree. Although the grey isn't too noticeable from afar, it looks so bad up close, and glossy too. I need to get around to re-colouring mine.
The golden rule with swaps is to always use exact size. People tend to think that older sneakers are half a size smaller or whatever, but...
Here are my swapped 4's I used a Dub Zero midsole that was half a size bigger. Big mistake, but still turned out okay.
And for #@%%* and giggles, a muck around swap I did a while back..
Thanks for thinking of me James =)
I would've won those Forest Green Burst, but all US eBay based aucions end at %!#% times. They went for $51 as well. I hope they crack on you Brian, you lucky bum
I believe the first retro was in 1997, in the Charcoal/Safety Orange c/w.
There were a few later retro's in 2002/03. The "Ultramarine" and "Varsity Red" pairs were 2002, and a women's c/w (White/Navy-Yellow) released in 2003. Here is a pic of my old Ultramarine pair..
^ I charged you $90 for a pair of wearable OG Emerald's, you lucky bastard! Btw, sorry couldn't access MW2 the other day...I will be on again next weekend and will have you added then, so I can knife your %!! in Estate. =]
Apparently MX's went to the outlet, back when they retailed for $199.95 at Myer in the early 00's.
Havent's seen that ad yet..but do remember the ad for the ostrich "Laser Blue" 90's...lacejob was just as bad as this new black/infra pair! Suppose it gives something for the Eshay's to drool...
If the MX were DS, they were 99% prone to chip since they are now 8+ years old (occurs to most AM90 c/w's from '01/'02). Nonetheless, they are leaps and bounds ahead of the HOA in terms of quality, rarity, and overall value. Nothing f_cks with that "big" mesh!
Lookin' good, gooey!
Cheers mate! I actually got these from straat back when he had around 10 eBay feedbacks. The Burst itself is a superb model, with c/w's that rarely fail - would say it's in my top 5 favourite model's of all time. If you're a size 9, I got some '01 Safety Orange's that I wanna let go of...
This was my latest buy - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320468726832
The 11's were fake, so I offered $120aud for the 4 and 5 only, and he accepted.
jwdanklefs: the two at the top are a 1995 Puma Progress, and a 1994 Puma Disc System TX-4000.
Vivrantchino21: Just peeped...
This is the other (worse) half, and now you've seen it all!
Mind you, most of these were cheaply priced, and resulted in me making impulse buys.
I would by no means ever go to spend more than $150 on Jordan's.
